The surprising Hamburg

The most important building in Hamburg has always been the Rathaus, the seat of government and parliament of this “free city” of the Hanseatic League. No palaces or churches, and so it was, at least until then. construction of the Elbphilharmonie, the most beautiful (and best) concert hall in Europe. Designed by the Swiss of Herzog &" de Meuron (the same ones that made the Bayern arena), Elba once again reveals how hamburgers have well-defined priorities. The ideal would be to admire the building from the Niederhafen River Promenade, yet another architectural masterpiece, this time designed by Zaha Hadid’s office, cities have a unique vibe, and it’s impossible not to adore Hamburg.
